The treatment with dendritic tumor vaccines can be supported and accompanied with different treatment options:

• If indicated, corticosteroids (short acting), antibiotics, analgetics, infusions
• Radiation therapy
  Strategic or palliative radiation therapy is often used in a successful combination with the DC therapy against skin or oral tumors.
• Chemotherapy:
  Currently, we have no clinical data about the combination of dendritic cell vaccine with chemotherapy protocols. Scientific studies have been started. From human cancer medicine we can conclude, that both therapy forms can be positively combined. In human patients, dendritic cell vaccines are used during chemotherapeutic protocols in a rising number of white blood cells (leucocytes).
• Holistic approaches like acupuncture, homeopathy or homotoxicology help to keep the immunologic balance of your pet
• Nutrition
  The nutrition of the patient should be investigated and, if imbalances are found, adjusted. The diet has a great influence on the metabolism on of the patient and subsequently on the qualitiy of the immune system. Generaly, the diet of the animal should be adjusted to the underlying organ diesease of the animal.
• Additives – during the ongoing cancer treatment - surgery and surgical healing, radiation therapy or chemotherapy - the addition of free radical neutralizers is recommended, for example the Astoral Basic (Almapharm)
